QARAJ is an add-on that integrates Jira with QARA Enterprise – a test automation tool – and adds advanced test management capability to the Jira interface. The reporting functionality of QARAJ is useful in tracking the progress of the test process. It is essential for the efficient execution of test cases, as it allows the QA team to get a clear picture about the details of the execution process, the daily progress, the challenges faced, the changes necessary in the test scripts. It helps in planning and executing test cases on time and more efficiently.
QARAJ tracks all the parameters of test case execution and generates the following 4 types of reports.
1] Test Metrics Report
The Test Metrics report provides an organized view of Execution list, Daily Test Case Execution Progress, Test Case Executions By Tester, Test Case Status, Dashboard View, etc. Each of these parameters is explained below with a screenshot.
2] Test Metrics Report – Tabular Format
Instead of the previous Test Metrics report, which showcased the data in the form of graphs and charts, this format lays out the data in the form of a table. It provides an organized view of Execution on, Total executions, Pass, Fail, Unexecuted, Blocked, NA, etc. in a tabular format.
3] Test Case Summary Report
A Test Case Summary report provides an organized view of all the test cases for a particular project, broken down by total test cases created, total test cases unexecuted, total test cases executed, and total executions. In a single glance, this view provides a summarized information about the test case repository.
4] Traceability Report
QARAJ allows for a two-way end-to-end traceability report to be generated. This is very useful to track testing progress during every stage of a software release cycle. The traceability, right from requirements to test cases to executions to defects and vice-versa, is tracked.
QARAJ is an add-on that integrates with Jira and the reporting feature of the add-on is designed to help QA professionals manage test case executions more efficiently and also identify the areas of improvement in the test execution process in order to be able to increase test coverage and deliver a high quality product in a short span of time.
