Hi,
I am trying to set up a Post Function on the Resolve Issue Transition which sends a custom email using the Script Runner plugin.
I have SMTP set up correctly and sending the test email form JIRA works, I receive it in my inbox. Outgoing Mail is Enabled.
The Send a Custom Email Post Function is set up as in the two attached images. Note that I do change my email address, the one in the screenshots is simply an example.

Now, when I publish the workflow and go to the same issue that evaluated to true in the preview and Resolve it, no email is sent. Is there somewhere to check if an error was thrown or how can I go about debugging this?
Thanks,
Tudor

The condition is probably failing, possibly due to the things you are comparing being different types. Can you test it without any condition and see if it works then?
Also worth check the "mail" log.
You are right, it was the condition. Is the "mail" log somewhere on the JIRA server or do you mean the one for the Mail Server (Exchange in our case)? I can't see any mail related log on the JIRA server logs folder and would like to know just for future reference.

Check the logs for any error or hints. Also, make sure that the workflow you put this post-function is being used by the Issue Type of your issue.

Thanks @Gabrielle Bautista [ACP-JA]. I have checked the logs on the server for all I see is a catalina and an access log and neither were updated around the same time as I resolved the issue. Looking in the catalina log I don't see anything relevant "Jul 02, 2015 8:40:47 AM org.apache.jasper.compiler.TldLocationsCache tldScanJar INFO: At least one JAR was scanned for TLDs yet contained no TLDs. Enable debug logging for this logger for a complete list of JARs that were scanned but no TLDs were found in them. Skipping unneeded JARs during scanning can improve startup time and JSP compilation time." The workflow is definitely being used by the Issue Type of my issue.
