JQL on sprint not working as expected

Tiemco de Jong
February 4, 2013

We are trying to define/recreate the queries for the backlog and the sprints, so we can export the issue list.

However we cannot get the query with sprint = Sprint 1 or sprint = 1 to show results.

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA050/Advanced+Searching#AdvancedSearching-Sprint

Switching to the report tab shows in the URL that Sprint 1 is getting ID 142.

Using sprint = 142 yields the expected list.

The sprint list is not in the autocomplete or in simple search view.

Is there an easier way to export the backlog and sprints?

Is there an easier way to build queries for sprints?

Hey,

if you go to the sprint report page and select "sprint report" you get a list of all the issues. On that page you have the "View in Issue Navigator" link which gives you a list of all the issue in a sprint

Thanks for contacting Atlassian Support!

I understand the problem that you are facing here. This is a known issue for us and unfortunately it is still in open status : https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/GHS-4949. So, at this point, I am sorry to say that we do not have a way to search by Sprint name.

Having said this, we do have some instructions here and here that will help us determine the sprint id in an easier way.

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Ruchi
