I need to show the release start and end dates in my advanced roadmap plan

I have created an advance roadmap plan across multiple projects and I've group by release but I cannot get the release start and end dates to show on the release line - this should be a simple thing to do but I can't find any answers! I also am unable to connect the releases to show dependencies. Any help would be much appreciated.
