How to add a hierarchy level between Epic and Story in Jira Portfolio?

I want to create the following hierarchy:

Initiative -> Epic -> Feature -> Story -> Task

However I can't seem to slot in a custom 'Feature' level between Epic and Story. Can you please advise if this can be done and if so, how?

Hi Vanessa!

As far as I know, it is only possible to create new levels above the Epic level. The "Epic -> Story -> Sub-task" hierarchy cannot be changed.

Thanks,

Cristiano

That's really unfortunate! We've got multiple divisions in my organization who would benefit from the hierarchy suggested by Vanessa. It's a bummer when tools are only partially customizable.

Is there something on the product roadmap that will allow users to fully customize this hierarchy?
