I'm just starting out using Atlas, and I'm trying to understand if it's possible to embed (or via a smartlink) a Jira Plan into one of my Atlas Goals.
I'd very much like to be able to roll all of the information up into one location, so that stakeholders can stay out of Jira and see everything we filter and present to them via the goals that are relevant to them.
I found a workaround, where I add the plan to a confluence page, then embed the confluence link into the goal description, but it's a bit of a pain, and I'm sure goal owners will not understand/forget how to do this.
Thanks!
@Nerissa You cannot embed a Plan view currently in an Atlas goal. However, you can view goals and even group work by them in Plans.
Go to Fields and add 'Goal'
Then make sure you save the updated view. Example
Also you can group by Goals from View Settings
Does that help your use case?
Thanks Dominic, appreciate the response. It doesn't really solve my problem though, because goal owners and stakeholders are not going to go into Jira to look at the issues bottom up, they want to see it top-down, in one location.
Do you know if there are plans to make it possible to embed plans/timelines into goal records?
For now I'll have to think about managing it via Confluence or similar.
