Cross between absence and work log

Hello,
I would like to know if there is an option to configure a cross between absences defined for a person in section "Shared Teams and people", and work registry for that person.

For example, if I create an absence on 30-10-2019, the system should not allow me to registry time on the same date of the absence.

Is this functionality part of Jira Portfolio? or do I have to code?
Thanks in advance.

Hello @pberguno

Thank you for reaching out.

I believe that Portfolio for JIRA does not have a functionality to configure worklog to be restricted during the absence period, however, you can achieve this functionality by performing the steps below:

1 - Create e a new status for your tickets: Absence period

2 - Follow the documentation below to configure a property to restrict your users to log work while the ticket is in that status

How to restrict Log Work on a specific status

3 - When a user is on absence period, update their tickets to the "Absence period" status, not allowing them to log work anymore

Let me know if this information helps.
