Can I move all parents and all children forward 3 months in bulk?

I want to move a projects and possibly entire programs EPICS and associated children forward 3 months without having to do each one individually.

Hi @Kordez _ -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

There is nothing in out-of-the-box Jira Cloud to do this yet.

  • There is an open suggestion to add relative date changes to bulk edit: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-37141
  • I recall seeing a recent post about an Atlassian hackathon where they built this exact shifting into Advanced Roadmaps.  There was not timeline of when this might get considered as a feature or "productionized".

One possible work-around is to build a couple of automation rules which walk the tree of issues, editing each one.  You would need to either hard-code the shifting value or get it from another field in the epic as a starting point.  I recommend two rules: epic and its children, and another for story/task/bug to their children.  (Although, you may be able to do this with one more complex rule with condition logic.)

If you want to try building that, please see this documentation and examples for help:

Kind regards,
Bill

Thankyou for your reply @Bill Sheboy very helpful!

I'll seek the assistance of our automation experts and see if they can put something together.
