I migrated to new view of Jira Portfolio view But the new view is not showing sprint plan view that the earlier view was showing .
Why do I have to add dates explicitly when stories are already tagged to sprints.
Hi @sharmila_patwardhan ,
You can display sprints on the timeline when grouping by Team or by Sprint,
See https://confluence.atlassian.com/jiraportfolioserver/displaying-capacity-in-a-plan-974360323.html for more details.
When it comes to using the sprint dates for your issues without any specified date yet, you can enable this in the plan configuration as described here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jiraportfolioserver/scheduling-967895166.html
Cheers,
Thomas
I am unable to see any such menu. The menu is incomplete.
It just shows the first question and there are no options thereafter> I have selected story points as an option. But missing rest of the menu
Do I lack any privileges?
Does it happen because I have created portfolio in old interface and then moved to new interface?

It's possible you might need to update Portfolio for Jira on your instance (need an administration) to the latest version. This will require a Jira Administrator.
Let me know the version you are currently running if you are currently unable to update Portfolio, and I can help you figure out whether the feature wasn't there at all yet for your version.

I'd strongly recommend updating Portfolio to 3.20 if possible. The improved interface you are trying out was in early access in 2.26 and has since received a large number of features including the one you are looking for.
You can have a look at our migration guide: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jiraportfolioserver/migration-guide-859479290.html to ensure the migration goes smoothly.
