I'm running Portfolio for planning on Epic level. Of course stories are pare of these Epics - but I'm interested in a drill-down of these ordered Epics. So... I ordered the list of Epics in Portfolio based on priority. I assigned all same versions to avoid conflicts. Some Epics already have a few stories inside - some not.
As soon as I use auto-planning - the system will do mostly a good job - but unfortunatily some Epics are starting as per today and ending far in future - while in fact - it's just a sprint of work.....
I found out that sometimes it's just one single story inside the Epic that has and end-date assigned in far future - which is very strange. When I create a new story and delete the old one - sometimes the system fixes the issue and results well.. But sometimes it doesn't. So I was looking for subtasks - but there aren't. I also tried to replace the Epic once - which is also not a solution for this issue.
At this point I'm really 'lost' and don;t know where to find the answer on this. Basically I can not use Portfolio for automatic planning as of now - which is a pity or course.
Anybody who can help me on this?
I'm with the same problem; I thought that was related to my team (I was using a filter, not a board). But when I remove my team, my release appears as the attention point (no team).
When I configure my team back and run auto-schedule, all my epics (with a story or not) receiving new dates to 2024.
