Jira Portfolio - how do I commit changes to Jira?

I made a test project with epics, tasks, versions, and sprints.

I created a Plan in Portfolio.  Clicked calculate, it puts tasks into sprints based on peoples availability.  Now how do I get those changes committed to Jira so that the tasks are moved into the sprints as shows in Portfolio?

Read that, did that, all issues remain in backlog, all sprints remain empty.
