How does one apply the same skill to more than one stage?

When setting up skills and stages in Portfolio for JIRA, how does one allocate the same skill to multiple stages? 

Ex) A skill will be involved in more than one stage and the same skill needs to exist in multiple stages 

Currently it appears to be a 1:1 relationship with Skills and the stage they belong to. There is no way to use the same skill in multiple stages from what I gather. I'm hoping that I may be missing something?

Hi Sean,

This is not currently possible since skills are directly linked to a stage.

Skills that you create in the "Shared teams and people" view will be accessible in the skills configuration view, but they can only be assigned to one stage at a time in a 1:1 relationship as you've noticed.

If you would like to raise a feature request for this functionality you can visit and create a jira ticket.
