Issues assigned to wrong person in Portfolio

Edited

I've created a sprint in Jira and assigned users. I switch over to Portfolio and view the 'schedule' report, at the Story level.

None of the issue assignments make any sense. They seem completely random. They certainly don't line up with the assignments in Jira.

I haven't chosen "automatic", I'm expecting Portfolio to simply read my Jira assignments and show me those.

What am I doing wrong/missing?

So I happened to come across this help post here, which has solved this issue. For those who also have this problem, here's the key:

  • To see the assignee that is being pulled from Jira Software, you have to Calculate your plan.

I'd also been attempting other ways of solving this and had switched the "Issue assignee import level" to off as I was wondering if this was affecting it. The combo of these two things lead to my problem.

So: ensure "Issue assignee import level" is set how you assign issues in Jira, and click 'Calculate'
