Sending email to external user from a scripted post function in the cloud

Is it possible in Script runner for JIRA Cloud to have a scripted post function that will send email to an external user (the email of the user is contained in some custom field)? the external user is not a user of JIRA.

Hi Ran,

It is possible, but you'll need to use an external service like Mailgun to do the email sending as the Jira REST APIs only support sending issue notification emails.
