Before we dive in, here’s a quick look at my journey into the world of Jira and Atlassian tools: The Beginning 🤔 My Atlassian journey started in 2019 when I began working at a startup—my first job. Like many, the first thing I heard was “Jira.” To be honest, before that, I had no idea what “Jira” or “Atlassian” even was.…

Hey everyone 👋! I'm presenting our internal company hub, which serves as the central landing page for all employees—especially helpful for onboarding newcomers. We started using the company hub back in April this year when the EAP for it was announced. Personally, I'm a big fan! I believe it has great potential to…

Hey everyone 👋, Living in today’s fast-paced world, who doesn’t love getting rid of boring manual tasks and letting automation do the heavy lifting? After all, the less time we spend on repetitive chores, the more we can focus on what really matters. I’ve been working with Jira for quite a while now, and let me tell you—a…

Hi, We've got a question if it is possible to assign issues based on story points on issues that are assigned to different team members? Basically, we're looking at balanced workload assigning, just for Story Points. I know that natively this isn't yet supported, but I was just wondering if anyone managed to design a…

Have you switched from diagramming apps like draw.io or Gliffy to Confluence Whiteboards? What’s your experience? I recently attended Team '24 in Barcelona, and there was a lot of buzz around whether to migrate from Marketplace diagramming apps to Confluence’s native whiteboards. Many attendees raised the question: "Why…

Hi, I would just need confirmation for this - Remaining Estimate field is not visible on create issue screen despite having Time tracking added on mentioned screen/issue operation? I can clearly see Original Estimate field when creating new issue but not Remaining Estimate as well. Also, on new issue transition experience,…

What are we trying to achieve? We have employee IT equipment stored inside Assets. On each asset/object, you have an attribute stating current employee/owner of that asset. What our Asset managers would like to 'see' is when they navigate to 'people' object, to see which assets they have previously owned, together with…

Hi, I've just enabled this extension and I'm using Brave. I've noticed that search bar and create button are moved to the far left (one under another) and when you click on search box, you can hardly see anything as the search window goes out of the screen. Anyway, the main question is - will/should this work with…

Hi, As I'm not a power user or administrator of Bitbucket, I would need some assistance here. We've received a question regarding Bitbucket on-prem vs. cloud version. Basically, we're migrating one Jira server instance to the cloud and the question is regarding Bitbucket - should we stay on on-prem version (I managed to…

Hi, We have stumbled upon a specific use case. Let's say there are two issues - APP-247 and APP-248 and User A is assigned to issue APP-248 (and this issue has Start date set). While working on APP-248, the user has also logged some work on APP-247. I/the client would like to get a report displaying only those worklogs…

Hi, One of our customers would like to get the following information in their report (when they export issues to Excel/CSV) - timestamp when the issue was first assigned to a user. I was thinking of creating a new custom field (date time field type) where this value would be stored + automation that would add that value…

Hello everyone! So, I have my customer have access to the customer portal/Help Desk of our company. I would like for those users (registered one) to have access to specific Jira Software projects, to browse issues, and potentially comment + vote for them. I've been playing with permission schemes and user groups and I…

Hi, We have a use case where it is required to calculate Original and Remaining Estimates on parent tasks based on the changes on child issues. For example, we have the following hierarchy: * PMO Initiative* PMO Epic* PMO Story* Epic (this is 'standard' Jira Epic)* .... Note that we're looking only at first three levels -…

I haven't stumbled upon this solution anywhere in the community so here it is (apologies if this has already been posted somewhere). So, at one of our client's instances, we stumbled upon the following 'issue'. ⛔ Problem The organization is syncing all of its users from IdP to Atlassian by using Atlassian Access. There are…

Hi, One of our clients has a request which requires avoiding the use of JSM notifications that have the ability to set the custom email addresses that would receive and send out emails. For receiving, this is sorted out when navigating to Project settings > Email requests and by connecting a custom email address. For…

Feature question - are there any plans on adding Confluence page links (like you currently can link a Jira issue) in Jira Product Discovery? The question was raised by my colleague who tried to create a Jira issue (JPD Idea) from the Confluence page, by selecting text -> Create issue. The idea/issue was created but there…

Hi, I have a request from one of our clients to disable email all email notifications for Jira (in this case JSM) users. They would like only to receive notifications via the in-app notification bell icon. Now, I know that each user can set their preferences and disable email notifications via the Personal settings page,…

Hi, Is it possible to get value names from the database picker field via REST call? If just try to call the custom field via GET method, you will get a list/array of IDs of each selected item in the picker field. Now what I need to get is names (labels) for each value stored in this DB picker field. Is this something…

Hi, I currently use two different Atlassian accounts - one is on my private email and another one is on my business email. As I'm logged in to both of them on the same device, I sometimes need to switch between each to perform specific operations. In Atlassian Community, I prefer to use my private account as I got main…

Hello, I've recently stumbled upon a question if we could provide a list of ALL technologies used within Jira and Confluence (Server/DC). I'm quite new in this area of on-prem platforms (I've used Cloud products for several years) so I would need some help with this. I would say that these products use something like: *…

Hello, I have recently made a Confluence site backup (export) and I would need to now upload that file to another, new cloud site. While export went smoothly, I cannot import the file due to cloud restriction which says that only uncompressed files up to 200 MB in size are allowed. There are only a few attachments that are…
