Hi,
I posted a technical answer on this question three times today. Each time it was removed automatically within about twenty minutes, with no notification and no reason given:
https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Jira-questions/REST-API-Calls-for-Request/qaq-p/3277387
It contained no external links - just a short shell snippet and some Jira REST endpoint paths. Another answer I posted the same day on a different thread is still live, so it doesn't look like an account-wide issue.
Separately, a Community Manager removed the external links from an older post of mine today and closed that thread. I've read the Rules of Engagement since and I understand that one. My question here is only about the automatic removals.
Could someone check what triggered the filter? I'd rather understand the rule than keep guessing and re-posting.
Thanks,
Mahyar
Thanks Kris, that's a relief.
From my own account the thread kept showing "0 answers", so I assumed it had been removed and posted it again a couple of times. Sorry for the noise if that left any duplicates behind.
Good to know it's a known glitch and not something I did wrong. I appreciate you checking and raising it with the managers.
Thanks for flagging this. I checked the linked Jira thread, and I can now see your answer there. Based on what you described - especially that the thread appeared to show “0 answers” - this may have been a temporary moderation or display issue rather than something wrong with your answer.
New accounts and certain content patterns can sometimes receive additional automated checks, and keyword filters may occasionally produce false positives. However, I can’t confirm that any specific factor triggered this case.
If it happens again, please avoid reposting immediately, as the original answer may still be processing or may become visible after a delay. Feel free to let us know, and we can investigate it further.
Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for your patience while we look into it.
