It was introduced to me by my assistant but i kept on doing things the old fashion way. I am ready to take it up and learn new tech to make life easier — any suggestion where to start?

Welcome to the Community! A great place to start is getting badges! Go to your profile and select "Badges" then "How to earn badges on the Atlassian Community"
Then click on "Learn more". This will get you familiar with the community and with the products! I have always found the community inspiring.
