my name is Rigo, I'm working in the heart of Lower Saxony, Germany.
I was always interested in Jira and Confluence for years, played around with possibilities to update our analog board via daily pictures with markers on our board and tried other stuff with my limited permissions as a normal user.
During the pandemic we struggled to get our mostly analog planning boards into a useful and digital alternative. Kanban and Scrum Boards weren't flexible enough, Portfolio wasn't installed, Advanced Roadmaps only avaiable on Data Center. So I started to use Balsamiq in our Confluence to recreate a post-it board. After a while I created a customized board in Jira Structure and it was at that point that I started to really think how we managed to live without these tools.
After a while I started to substitute my superior in meetings about Atlassian projects became the admin of our section in our Jira and started to take part in the migration to Data Center. After another year I oversaw a migration of Jira and Confluence from Data Center to Cloud with about 800 users and now started a new chapter as the third Organisation admin in our corporation. I'm learning from my colleagues every day and am trying my best to live up to the standards of a Success Champion by providing my knowledge to users.
