Welcome Wednesday: Let your inner nerd out at Comic Con!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

This weekend, I will be attending the local Conic Con event!

Whether you’re a die-hard cosplayer, a comic book collector, a gamer, or just someone who loves to geek out over your favorite fandom, Comic Con is the perfect place to embrace what makes us unique.

Have you ever dressed up as your favorite character? Maybe you’ve met a celebrity from a show you love, or found that rare collectible you’ve been hunting for years. Comic Con is more than just an event—it’s a community where everyone is encouraged to be themselves, no matter how quirky or passionate.

My question for you this week:
I know I asked this last year, but I love seeing photos from events like this! I’ll start with a few from our visit last year:

Share your stories, photos, or dream cosplay ideas in the comments below—I’d love to see how you celebrate your fandoms!

Have a great rest of the week everyone!

I've never actually been to Comic Con, but there is one in London next month, I wonder if I can talk the CTO into paying for the team to go to that as a team building exercise!

Absolutely love a good comicon! i think one of my favourite UK cons is the wales comic con in wrexham, they seem to get epic guests given the size of the con!  i've dressed up as chucky a few times and even travelled to amsterdam for them too! my collection is brimming with Back to the future signed pieces including a hoverboard with most of the cast on from the 2015 showmasters con in london, Ghostbuster pieces and horror pieces amongst other things.. my new collecting fad is Topps Cards - very dangerous! love your photos! hope you have an epic time! IMG_0811.jpg

When I was in college, I had a boyfriend who was into comics, along with a few of his friends. I started reading the comics he bought and enjoyed the X-men of the middle 1980s.

I remember that we piled in a car on a Saturday (probably 1984) and drove about an hour or so from our small university to Ithaca, NY for a comic book convention. It was not referred to as comic con. This is all I remember about the trip—that we went. I don't remember any costumes or guest stars, maybe just tables of comic books.

It turns out that our marketing team overspent on their team building event and everyone else had to redistribute funds to cover that, so no team building comic con, but the CTO has agreed we can all go to Big Data London, for 3 reasons: (1) our platform head is giving a presentation, (2) it's work related, and (3) it's free!
