Hello, Community! π
Itβs Feel-Good Friday β and I thought itβd be the perfect time to ask:
For me, itβs the people. π
Teammates who share their knowledge without holding back, customers who trust us with their challenges, and leaders who remind me that great work doesnβt have to be rushed. Customers who trust us to simplify their work and deliver meaningful value. And letβs be honest β a great GIF or emoji also goes a long way π π
Now itβs your turn:
π‘ What keeps you going when things get busy?
π Where do you find your motivation and spark?
𧑠Letβs celebrate the little things that make a big difference!
Photo from my desk today β where the magic (and messages!) happen π¬ β
(Feel free to share yours too!)
Drop your thoughts, stories, or even your favorite feel-good GIF below.
Letβs end the week with some inspiration from each other. π
Happy Friday, Community!
Warmly,
PatrΓcia (Patty).
Hi, @Bobby Taylor, I love that, and I couldnβt agree more! βA rising tide lifts all boatsβ is such a powerful mindset, and it really shows when people are generous with their knowledge and experience. I'm grateful to be part of a team and community where that spirit is alive and well. Thanks for sharing, and happy Friday to you too! π
That is one beautiful looking desk @PatrΓcia Montenegro! I wish mine was that ordered.
One of the things that keeps me inspired is checking this Community every day and seeing posts like this! But I definitely agree that people make all the difference too - I am lucky enough to have a fantastic team who bring a smile to my face every day.
Hi, @James O_Connor, Thank you! π I try to keep it tidy β a clear desk helps me think clearly (most days!). I love what you said about this community, and I feel the same! Itβs always inspiring to see how much positivity and support flow through here. And yes, totally agree β having a team that lifts you makes all the difference. Weβre lucky! π
Love this question & your beautiful desk! π
What keeps me going? A mix of small wins and great humans - a kind message from a teammate, a βthis made my dayβ from a customer, or that moment when a chaotic project finally clicks into place. Pure magic. β¨
Also, letβs not underestimate the power of coffee, a solid playlist, and the occasional well-timed GIF ππΆβ
Hereβs to the little things that make work feel a bit more wonderful! π
Hi @Mahima_miniOrange β absolutely loved this, thank you!
Itβs those small wins and real human moments that keep everything moving β and yes, coffee, music, and perfectly timed GIFs are non-negotiables. βπΆπ
Hereβs to the little things that make a big impact. Appreciate you bringing that energy! ππ
Certainly coffee is a great way to get the day started. Then a brisk walk at some point in the day helps to keep everything flowing.
Hey @John Funk
Absolutely β couldnβt agree more! β A strong coffee to kick things off, then a walk to reset and get clarity mid-dayβ¦ thatβs a solid rhythm. Itβs amazing how much a quick walk can unlock in terms of focus and flow. ππΏ
Appreciate you sharing β itβs those simple rituals that make all the difference.
I guess a quick backstory, two-ish years was ad-hoc assigned to the team responsible for integrating Jira & Confluence into our company.
As I've become more comfortable in my site-admin role I can confidently say I greatly appreciate solving a work-process problem that allows my coworkers to have an easier day. Hearing the positive feedback from boards/workflows/ideas that keep things focused, and especially hearing the negative feedback so I can be better at my job goes a long way.
It inspires me knowing that through thoughtful collaboration everyone can go home slightly less stressed and overall, just have a smoother workday. In the US, we all know how stressful work can be, and sometimes it's just paperwork, a forgotten about email, or some ticky-tacky "thing" that can soil a perfectly fine day. Slowly but surely, I'm trying to remove all of that.
I love this mindset β itβs clear how much care you put into making things better for your teams, and thatβs incredibly inspiring. π
Itβs not just about the tools but the human impact behind them β like reducing friction and stress so people can focus on what matters. The fact that you actively seek both positive and negative feedback says a lot about your leadership.
Itβs motivating to hear how youβre using thoughtful collaboration to chip away at those little daily annoyances β itβs the kind of work that quietly transforms a teamβs experience. Thanks for sharing this β it made me reflect on how we can all contribute to smoother, less stressful days! π
Appropriately formatted negative feedback is incredibly useful. It's my preferred way to actually solve problems rather than everyone nodding their head to "it's decent."
Rather we like it or not, our jobs are significantly impacted by coworkers and fostering an environment that allows for problem-solving to help reduce that friction goes such a long way. The key is fostering and developing that environment which is incredibly tricky haha. But a healthy mindset and the drive to "try" goes a long way :D
Sharp looking desk, mine usually looks more like;
Hi, @Shawn Doyle - ReleaseTEAM
Haha, thank you! π. But hey, as long as the work gets done, right? You're doing great! Have a great week! π
For me, itβs a mix of small sparks that make a big difference:
β A really good cup of coffee
π Sunshine through the window or a walk in nice weather
π¬ A great customer call where we actually solve something together
π Positive feedback that reminds me why I do what I do
π Wearing an outfit I feel confident in (yes, even if it's just for a Teams call π)
π§ Solving a tricky issue after thinking about it for days
π₯ And of course, the energy of people around me in the office
Those are the moments that give me the extra fuel to keep going! β¨ Happy Friday!
Love this @Brita Moorus β such a perfect mix of sparks! β¨
Totally with you on the power of sunshine, a great call where real progress happens, and that underrated confidence boost from a solid outfit (even if itβs just waist-up for Teams π).
And yes β thereβs nothing quite like finally cracking a tough one after days of thinking.
Thanks for sharing this energy β itβs a great reminder of the little things that keep us grounded and motivated. βοΈβπ¬
@PatrΓcia Montenegro so happy to have you back in the community! We missed you - and this post is evidence as to why!
π‘ What keeps you going when things get busy?
For me, it's knowing that I am making an impact on the lives of our employees and customers by being there to support them in all areas - professionally and personally. I like to think that I lead by example, so knowing that someone may go the extra mile because they see me doing it makes me go another mile further, and further...
π Where do you find your motivation and spark?
My family and friends. These descriptions fit people here in the community and in my company. Knowing that we can multiply our impact by working together towards common goals always drives me.
𧑠Letβs celebrate the little things that make a big difference!
A bike ride, sitting by the ocean and watching the waves roll in and ebb away, but come back again, my wife, my kids, music and coffee!
Hey, @Andy Gladstone
Thank you so much β itβs always amazing to feel that energy here! π I missed this community, too.
I love your answers β especially the idea of leading by example and going that extra mile because others are watching. That really resonates. What keeps me going is very similar: the chance to create impact for others, even in small ways, is what fuels me. Plus, when I see people growing or feeling supported, thatβs my cue to push even harder.
And yes, family, friends, music, and coffeeβ¦ canβt beat that combo! Watching the ocean is such a perfect metaphor, tooβit is constantly moving but always coming back. The nature is stunning.
Thanks for sharing this. Made my Friday better! And my week too! Thank you again!βοΈπΆπ΄ββοΈ
What keeps me motivated at work is the endorphin rush I get from solving problems and learning new things.
It also helps to hear that my efforts are appreciated; positive feedback is a great motivator.
Hi @Trudy Claspill,
Absolutely β I can relate to that! Thereβs definitely something satisfying about cracking a problem or figuring out a new skill β it keeps things exciting.
And yes, that positive feedback hits different! Itβs like fuel to keep pushing forward. Thanks for sharing β itβs a great reminder of how important both growth and recognition are in keeping us motivated! π Have a great week! βοΈβπ¬
Thank you for today's post, @PatrΓcia Montenegro - my coworkers are definitely the best part of my job. I always love a homemade latte when my husband works from home, and getting some fresh air and sunlight while out for a walk is a great recharge, too!
Absolutely! I couldnβt agree more β homemade lattes, sunlight, and good company are a perfect combo to recharge. Grateful we get to share this kind of energy here, too. Thanks for adding your spark! Have a great week. Thank you! βπππ
Dear Community!
@Amanda Barber @Trudy Claspill @Andy Gladstone @Brita Moorus @Shawn Doyle - ReleaseTEAM @Morgan Watts @John Funk @Mahima_miniOrange @James O_Connor @Bobby Taylor
Wow β I just want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to each of you who shared your thoughts, stories, and sparks of inspiration here. π
Reading all your responses truly made my day β actually, my week! Itβs amazing to see how different things β from coffee and walks to teamwork, family, and music β keep us all moving forward. This is exactly what makes this Community so special: the openness, the generosity, and the genuine connection.
Iβm grateful for each one of you. Letβs keep lifting each other up β the little things really do make the biggest difference. ββ¨π
Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead β recharged and inspired! ππ
Thank you! π
Well, if I had been able to respond Friday, I would have said a week without a migraine, but it's finally gone. So today I can say:
Oof, glad to hear you're starting the week without a migraine, @Barbara Szczesniak - as a fellow sufferer, I just want to say I'm sorry for your rough week!
Thanks for sharing. I'm glad to hear the migraine has finally passed! A good cup of tea and positive feedback from your boss sound like a winning combo. And I totally agree β these community posts bring back some of that informal connection we miss from office chats.
Appreciate you contributing both here and to your team! Have a lovely week! β¨πβΊοΈ
