Happy, happy Feel Good Friday! Depending on where you live in the world, today is either the Summer or Winter Solstice.
Here in Wisconsin, USA, we are preparing for a heat wave - summer (and its hot and humid weather) has officially arrived! This weekend, we plan to go swimming for a bit and enjoy some indoor activities to stay cool. I've been boosting my electrolytes and water intake in preparation, too.
What are you doing to feel good in your part of the world this week/weekend? How are you staying cool or warm?
Happy Feel Good Friday!
It’s supposed to be summer already in the place where we live, but thanks to some stubborn cyclone, we have around +20°C and wind instead of real heat.
I’m still waiting for the real summer to start, sunny and warm days. Summer is usually a season of fruit, iced tea, and cold water for me 🌞
Wish I could send you some of our heat, @Daria Kulikova_GitProtect_io! Hoping that cyclone gets on its way soon. 🌀
Happy Friday everyone!
Summer has already started here in Croatia. You definitelly know that as capital is half-empty, as everyone just 'migrated' to the seaside. 🌊 I'm not a fan of going to the coast in mid-season as it's waay too crowded for my taste, so I usually stay at home.
It's just, we haven't had rain for a couple of weeks now and none is on the horizon as well, so you need to water everything in the backyard as it would probably die :/
But, early mornings and evenings are really nice. Just the other day, I woke up earlier and went cycling for a couple of hours. Early mornings are quite cool, with around 16°C (~60°F).
During the day, when it's 35 degrees or more, you usually just stay inside and open a cold beer or scoop some ice cream 😄🍨
I'm unfortunately on a running hiatus due to injury, but do love a good early morning run on these summer days. Although, it's often so humid here in the mornings that it makes it difficult, too! Some days, I love a good midday run - I just keep it short and drink plenty of water.
Stay cool, @Tomislav Tobijas!
My home office has north facing windows so no direct sunlight, and it's on the lower ground floor so it's naturally cooler. This means that I'm wearing cool weather clothes, but as soon as I go outside it's like opening an oven.
So I bought myself a hand fan (which should arrive today), and a wide brimmed hat, so when I'm doing the school pickup I can cool down
My husband works in our basement and is often surprised at just how different it is upstairs on our main level. Thankfully, we do have air conditioning, but we tend to keep it pretty warm during the day - nothing worse than going in and out from cold to hot.
Stay cool, @Stephen_Lugton!
It's going to be a wet, cool day in our neck of the woods in Montana. Though I am heading to Idaho for most of the day - it will be my first trip to that state.
I've never been anywhere on that end of the United States. I hope it's a lovely day in Idaho!
