Happy Feel Good Friday, Community!

As we head into the end of the year, I thought this might be a great time to reflect on something you've accomplished this year - professionally or personally (or both!) and let us celebrate YOU! 🎉

Selfishly, I'm hoping to get some ideas for what I'd like to accomplish in 2026. 🤪 

I'll start! This year, I attended my first TEAM in Anaheim. It was a BLAST and so lovely to meet so many familiar faces IRL. I also started a new job in January - I can't believe it's been almost a year! Most recently, I secured the nonprofit discount for my team to get the Teamwork Collection and get us moving in the right direction for business processes - YAY!

Looking back on 2025, I’m especially proud of what I achieved together with the other Atlassian Community Champions who are behind ITSM/ESM Masters. Together, we managed to significantly expand this virtual Atlassian Community Events chapter! 

Now, we’ve got over 600 members, and we consistently get around 200 RSVPs for most of our online events (we’re not tied to a specific city; we’re all about Jira Service Management / the Atlassian Service Collection users, wherever they might be).

We also welcomed new Atlassian Community Champion leaders from APAC and Oceania, which means we can now host events at times that are more convenient for members in nearby time zones.

And even though we’re a virtual chapter, and 99% of our meetups are online, we still managed to have two in-person meetups this year: Team’25 in Anaheim & Team’25 in Barcelona. Both were quickly oversubscribed, with our selected breakfast venues running out of room for all of us!

Plenty to celebrate from 2025!

Professionally, I stepped into a new role as Solution Architect at Trundl, became a Community Champion in the wonderful Vancouver chapter, recorded my first podcast as a guest with Elite-it (coming soon), and delivered a stack of professional services projects.

On the personal side, I turned 40, moved to a new place, and ran a half-marathon.

I’m taking a moment to catch my breath—I think I’ve earned a short break! Thank you to the community, customers, and teammates who made this year so energizing.

I’m excited to keep the momentum going in 2026—see you at the events (Rovothon Feb 2026, TEAMS in Anaheim), in the forums, and on upcoming projects.

Professionally, I'm excited to have had time carved out to be exploring professional tools of the trade - it's nice to be able to deep dive into a Marketplace app!

Personally, I got to shovel almost an entire driveway this past weekend. ⛄️

This year has been a big one for me too. Becoming an Atlassian Community Champion was a big milestone and something I'm really proud of. I also pushed myself to grow a lot by getting more involved in the community, hosting events, and sharing knowledge instead of just consuming it.

On a more personal note, I've learned to be braver about saying yes to new opportunities (and travelling!) and trusting that I'll figure things out along the way. Definitely taking that mindset with me into 2026 ✨
