Hopefully, I havenโt forgotten! :)
When I suddenly remembered today โ without even a reminder... and I always have one in my calendar! โ that itโs my turn for Feel Good Friday, I was a bit lost. Lately, especially after being on the road for over a month, I forget everything. I started writing notes or asking someone to remind me about deadlines, so for a moment I thought: maybe today is the Day of Forgetfulness, or for me, it's even a Month of Forgetfulness?
But nopeโฆ
According to National Today, November 21st is associated with nine different holidays.
But the one that caught my attention the most is World Hello Day โ an unofficial holiday celebrated in more than 180 countries to highlight the importance of personal communication as a way to promote peace.
To celebrate, all we need to do is simply greet 10 people โ and here is Community, thatโs as easy as saying โHello!โ
So letโs be kind today and warmly say โHello!โ to everyone we meet. Sometimes even simple words like โHello! How are you?โ โ said with a smile โ can make someoneโs day brighter. ๐
Haha yes, @Anahit Sukiasyan , that long trip definitely threw off my reminders ๐ ... and I'm happy that I remembered to post that day :)
@Daria Kulikova_GitProtect_io, hello!
At first, I thought this would be hard to do when you work from home. When you mentioned doing it here in the community, though, I decided that I can start every first message I send to a coworker in Teams with hello. And then there's my trip to the grocery store after work later.
btw, when I sign up for a Friday or Monday post in the community, I also set a reminder in my calendar. If I have something in mind that I want to talk about in the post (generally I have a reason I pick the day that I sign up for), I add notes and links to related pages in the description part of the calendar event.
Reminders in the Calendar are a super-power ๐... If I participate in Feel Good Friday, I usually set 2 - one for Monday (to remind me that on Friday there is data) and Friday (the actual day of publishing). Though, this time I somehow missed doing so ๐
Thank you SO much for today's post, @Daria Kulikova_GitProtect_io! Being on the road definitely makes my brain a bit fuzzy.
I said Hello to lots of my gym friends this morning and I look forward to celebrating this "holiday" throughout the rest of today! As a remote employee, I definitely find it's important to get out into the neighborhood for a walk at a minimum and I'm fortunate to have some great folks I interact with at the gym each day, too.
And a big HELLO! to everyone in the Community!
I 100 % agree, @Amanda Barber , a little human connection โ at the gym or on a walk โ always brightens the day :)
Hello to all the wonderful people in this Community, and thanks @Daria Kulikova_GitProtect_io for the great prompt!
