the view of my monthly card changed and need to switch back

to whom it may concern, the view on the monthly calendar suddenly became very large so you can only drag your cards to one week in the future instead of several weeks. this started on Nov. 14th. I must have clicked a button. How do it get it back to the way it was so i can navigate my cards easily. Please advise.  my email is [email address removed]. much appreciated.

Firstly, the Atlassian Community is a public forum and therefore to protect you from your email address ending up in the hands of the wrong kind of people, I have removed it from your post.  

Unfortunately, Atlassian has decided to direct people to this community forum as part of their support process so that they get unpaid folk (like myself) to answer and ultimately save money.  I don't object to them doing this but they aren't exactly transparent about it and I see  many people post on here believing they are talking to Atlassian support.

It is worth noting that while you'll most likely have your question answered by a member of the community, members of the Trello team and Atlassian support do frequent the community too so they may well provide an answer. They are good guys for sure.

 

Regarding your particular issue, I have seen an increase in posts on here regarding the calendar power-up and have reached out to the Trello team to get further information. If I hear back, I will update on here.

As promised, here is an update from the Trello team:

 

In the past couple of years, a lot of Trello was rewritten to make it more efficient to maintain and make improvements. A lot of effort goes into each part of the rewrite, so we decided only to rewrite the Calendar View and not the Power-Up, with the goal of eventually consolidating the code for efficiency, and that's what's happening now.We've been monitoring the feedback and have already addressed some of the top complaints — for example, quick edit has been reinstated, and it's possible again to drag checklist items on the calendar. Most of the top remaining complaints are related to information being truncated — this is due to how the Calendar View is structured, but we're considering options for improving this. It won't be possible to address every complaint, but the goal is to cover all of the major ones and to eventually bring these improvements to the Calendar View as well.

thank you for the update. At this time, the Month and week dropdown are really hard to navigate. would be great if you can expand and contract the weekly and monthly calendar so that you can see a many weeks at a time so you can drag anywhere. If the IT team can look into this, i think everyone would benefit. Thank you again and i am truly grateful for the quick turn-around.

question, the view on the calendar is terrible. i have the free subscription. is that why the view is terrible? Do i have to upgrade so that i can use the calendar day, week and month in an efficient way. please advise as i feel helpless as the view only allows me to drag a card one week at a time instead of a whole month or more. please help guide me. thx.
