The Butler automation configured in Trello to automatically create/move a card into a Jira project is no longer working.
The card is created in Trello but is not transferred to Jira as expected.
In addition, the error notification emails that used to be sent are no longer being received.

Hi @Cecilia Daffonchio,

It sounds like there may be an issue with the Trello–Jira integration or the Butler automation setup. A few things you can check:

  1. Re-authenticate the Jira connection – Sometimes tokens or permissions expire. Go to Butler → Account and ensure Jira is still connected properly.

  2. Check project permissions in Jira – The account you’re using for the automation must have permission to create/move issues in the target Jira project.

  3. Review Butler command logs – In Trello, under Butler → Command log, you can see if the automation is failing and whether an error message is recorded there.

  4. Notification settings – Since you’re no longer receiving error emails, it may be worth checking your Trello notification preferences and spam folder.

  5. Try a manual trigger – Run the rule manually (if applicable) to see if it still fails—this can help narrow down if it’s a connection issue vs. a trigger issue.
