moving lists from one board to another

I'm trying to move lists from one board to another, or even just to move from one location to another on the same board, and I'm getting an error message "cannot move list". I've tried other servers and even another computer to no avail. I've also tried to move all cards in a list to another list (as a workaround) and a message appears to say "all cards moved" - yet they are not moved.

This kind of issue often happens on large boards, especially when a list contains a lot of cards or there are many associated objects like labels or custom fields. In these cases, we usually recommend moving individual cards to a brand new board and using that new board going forward. You can keep the original board as a reference for older data you still want to view, but don’t need to work with regularly.

If the problem continues, could you please share the URL of the board where you’re seeing this, and (if possible) the name of the affected list? That will help us take a closer look.
