issue with PDF previews in Trello

Hi, I’ve run into a strange issue with PDF previews in Trello and I’d like to report it as a bug.

I’m attaching an example file to show the problem.

On my computer I upload the new version of a PDF to a card (the old attachment is deleted first). When I open the preview of this PDF in Trello in the browser (Chrome and Edge on Windows), Trello still shows the old version of the file. However:

  • when I download the attachment from the card, the file is correct (new version),

  • in the Trello mobile app the preview is also correct (new version).

So the file stored on the server is updated, but the web preview in the browser appears to be cached and shows an outdated version. Hard refresh, incognito mode and trying another browser do not fix it.

Could you please check this behaviour?

I appreciate you confirming that you've already exhausted the standard troubleshooting options.

To get this resolved for you, I’ve opened an internal ticket (TRELLO-225555) with the Trello team so they can investigate further. You should receive email notifications directly as they provide updates on the case.
