how should I save images for a cover?

I've always been able to create images for my covers on Trello but now they are appearing as HUGE! I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Could you please share a before vs after screenshot? There are different cover options as outlined here https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/what-is-a-card-cover/
