free account toevoegen aan workspace

ben al paar dagen aan het zoeken, maar bijna onmogelijk om op een "normale" manier support te krijgen via Trello / Atlassian !!

dan maar zo: we hebben een medewerker en die heeft 14-dagen geleden een "free" account aangemaakt. Ik heb hem als beheerder al well toegevoegd aan de Workspace, heb hem beheerder gemaakt, maar hij krijgt nu de mededeling dat hij moet upgraden om toegang te krijgen tot zijn Timeline. Hij moet worden toegevoegd aan de betaalde company account maar geen idee hoe dat moet. Wie kan helpen?

Hi Jan!

Timeline is a Premium feature in Trello. Even though you added your colleague as an admin to the Workspace, he might not be properly added to your paid plan.

Here's what to check:

1. Verify your Workspace plan:

  • Go to your Workspace → Settings → Billing
  • Make sure it's on Premium, Standard, or Enterprise (not Free)
  • Check how many "billable members" you have vs. your plan limit

2. Check if your colleague is a billable member:

  • Same place (Workspace → Settings → Billing)
  • Scroll down to "Members" section
  • Look for your colleague's name - does it show as "Billable" or "Guest"?

3. If he's not showing as billable:
This usually happens when someone joins with their personal free account instead of being properly invited to the paid Workspace.

How to fix it:

  1. Remove him from the Workspace temporarily
  2. Go to Workspace Settings → Members → "Invite members"
  3. Send an invitation to his company email address
  4. When he accepts, he'll automatically be added as a billable member to your paid plan

Important: Make sure you have available seats on your plan. If you're at your limit, you'll need to add more seats first (Settings → Billing → "Add members").

Hi Arbaev,

ad 1.: I checked and we have a premium account

ad 2.: in the "billing" section there is no option to scroll down to "member". Therefore no option to check whether my colleague is listed as 'billable' or 'guest'.

How can I access the overview of billable members?

 

If that is not possible I will try option 3

@arbaev : option 3 also does not work. My colleague can still not access the timeline in Planyway.

What other options do you have?

Hi Jan,

You mentioned "timeline in Planyway" — this is an important distinction. Planyway is a third-party Power-Up with its own separate subscription. Having Trello Premium does not unlock Planyway's paid features. They are completely independent.
