My email to board works sporadically, I am at a loss and can't figure it out. HELP!

@Simone Eyles When it doesn't work, is there any chance that you're forwarding a message from a thread that has already been sent to Trello? In that case, the new message would be added as a comment on the card that was originally created from the thread, instead of as a brand new card.
