Hi all,

I would like to create a virtual team of virtual members, without any emails or anything just so i can track my tasks and the team member responsible for each task. So the problem is I'm the only one who uses trello in the team, and i would like to monitor my pending tasks with each team member.  For example: i would like to check all my pending tasks with "Adam" depending on the tasks I assigned to him or "mentioned" him. So the idea is to mention each virtual team member in his assigned tasks, and be able with one click or search to retrieve all pending tasks with this virtual member.

Can anyone help with this, feel free to mention if you have any workaround. And please, i know that the optimum solution is to invite the actual team members to trello and manage but i'm afraid that's not possible.

Thank you

Seeing as you don't want to make a bunch of fake accounts for your team members. A possible workaround is to use the label system? A different label for every team member, you can even stick to a single colour if the label system is being used for other stuff as well.

Then you can just Menu>Search Cards (hotkey f) to bring up a menu where you can filter the entire board to only see cards with the tag "Adam" for instance.

Thanks for your reply, however i thought of the fake account thing but it's too much of a hassle.
I thought of the label system but,I can't assign an item in a checklist or comment to a label, that's why what i need is a virtual member with all its features.

Mm, then I'm out of ideas sorry.

Was hoping it could be solved by Butler, but there are just not enough hooks at the checklist/comment level, crippling any solution. Plus creating it and maintaining it would make the fake account solution seem super easy in comparison anyways.

Can't even consistently auto-attach a label whenever you fake-tag a member (only triggers on checklist item creation, not on later editing, for example)

Might be a power-up might have some helpful functionality, but nothing comes to mind. Honestly unless you hit the jackpot in terms of a useful powerup, the fake account solution is probably the least complex solution. Especially as all the hard work is done up-front and you don't have to take care afterwards, given that the native mentions functionality is pretty robust.
