correct sorting of cards with due dates in a checklist

Why are cards with due dates in a checklist not sorted correctly among the other cards with deadlines, but placed behind them?

Sorting cards by checklist due dates is not yet available for Trello. We have a suggestion request open for it that you can check here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/TRELLO-49

I have also added this post as an internal comment to that suggestion, so our engineering team can reference it and use it to help align priorities. I would also recommend visiting that suggestion, logging in with your Atlassian account, and clicking Start watching this issue in the right panel. This will help our product and engineering team understand more about which functionalities our users are interested in.
