trying to use the card repeater function to generate a card that repeats quarterly for a tax return. how do you control the date that the repeater is starting with?

Hi @Braden Barranco ! Welcome to the community 😊 I'd suggest using butler automation to create your repeating cards instead. It's much more customizable and you can set a start date.
You just need to head over to schedule commands and create a rule along the lines of:
every 3 months on the first working day at 9:00 am starting on january 1st 2024, copy all the cards in list "Quarterly Tasks" to list "To Do"
