can't add a new employee to the project board

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
had a new employee start and will not allow me to add them to the workspace/project board. keep getting an error message.
also the original creator of the trello is no longer with us. How can we change the administrator?
