Why is the activity feed not updating when changes are made to a card?

In a card, when a change is made in the description field, does this not get posted as "Activity" at the bottom of the card?  

There is actually no information posted in the "activity" even when I make a new card or anything.  

It is working on another board with all the cards but not new boards and cards.....?

@Robert Comer edits to the description field don't show up in card or board activity, however they are stored as actions. You can actually view all description edits by following this process:

What you might also be experiencing is that you are showing comments only. As you can see here, you can hide or show details (on mobile this is "all activity" or "comments only") in the same place in the UI):
