Why can't I see all more cards?

Some of my lists are missing their cards. For example, I see that one list has 9 cards, but only 5 show up. But if I run a search for a card that's not visible, I can find it.

I'm not sure what I did today to create this problem, but I can't seem to fix it. In fact, I just keep losing card visibility.
