Why can't I delete my Personal Board?

I have a "personal board" but the tabs called - boards, members and settings - are not available. I want to delete the personal board from my "Boards" page. Curiously, the board does not show up in the left navigation under "teams" either, just here. It's seriously driving me bonkers that can't delete this board from my view. Please Help.

Hey Ryan,

Those options are displayed next to the team to provide quick access to that team's Boards, Members, and Settings.

This is not present for Personal boards as there is no external page for those settings outside of the board itself. If you are looking to delete the Personal board, you can do so by going to the board and opening the board menu, then follow the instructions here: https://help.trello.com/article/801-deleting-a-board

It would have been great to be able to hide the "personal" section entirely or allow users to toggle between tabs labeled "Teams" and another "Personal."

As is, when there is nothing in the Personal section it's a sizeable area simply taking up valuable real estate. I found this post in trying to understand if there was a way to hide it before realizing the flow of the page and it's UI hierarchy wasn't designed for this use case, which seems like it could be a common workflow but Atlassian might know better than I ever could by looking at the usage data and any recorded user sessions.

I feel the same way. Since I can't add new boards under "Personal Boards", I made a new Team called Personal, and started making boards there. Now I have a big empty tab called Personal Boards that I can't close. Since we can't use this to create boards anymore, I hope Atlassian just removes it from the UI; that would solve the problem.

Things are a bit different since my original answer in 2018. You're right though, personal boards can no longer be created, so we'll definitely be removing that section in the future.

I feel the same, It would have been great to be able to hide the "personal" section entirely or access to personal boards settings, now I see in the midle of my workspace a missing logo and that gives me a bit of boredom.
