Why are my Trello boards being moved to a workspace for a 14-day free trial?

Harlan Nagel July 31, 2021

After this trial, will I have to pay to access my boards? I've never seen changes like this before, so I'd like to confirm, in case I have to prepare for losing access to some important info.

Sorry if this has been asked. I haven't been able to find a post that describes my exact situation.

Thanks!

Hi,

This should help:

https://help.trello.com/article/1263-moving-to-workspaces

If you pay for Business Class then all your boards will open in that one workspace.
Unless you move boards to another workspace then any boards in a free workspace that are the least active will be closed. You can still access them but you’d have to close another board to open one if you are at the limit. (Or move it to another workspace)

What happens after the free trial (which is Business Class)? Will I still have closed boards? Will I need to pay to gain access to all my boards?

A question down at the bottom of the article you posted says the user would need to make a free Workspace for every 10 boards. Can you make an unlimited amount of free Workspaces on the Free plan (which I assume is where an account goes after the Business Plan free trial)?

After the free trial ends, unless you move boards to another workspace before then, any boards in a free workspace over 10 that are the least active will be closed. You can still access them but you’d have to close another board to open one if you are at the limit. (Or move it to another workspace)

Currently there is no limit to the number of workspaces you can create.
