I do not see my custom card buttons on my cards. I deleted and recreated them, and I still do not see them. In the example below, there should be a card button called DONE with a trophy icon. Please advise.
Hey @W_ Brian Lane, welcome to the Atlassian Community Forums! I think I can lend a hand with your custom Trello card buttons. The Trello UI changes have seemingly buried them. The steps are very strange to me so I explain over to you correctly too:
1. I made a Custom Card Button using the Automation lightning bolt. Once I put in my automations, I saved.
2. I went to my To Do list and clicked "+Add Card" at the bottom.
3. I typed in a title and hit Enter. In the top right of this new card, I saw the Edit icon. I selected it and selected "Open Card."
4. I looked around the card and no sign of a custom card button! So, I experienced what you did! But, with one difference:
5. I noticed the Automation bolt at the bottom of the card. When I clicked on it, there was my Custom Card Button.
6. When I selected the button I was added to the card, which was the automation I added to the card. But there was little visual indication that anything successfully transpired.
I attached a screenshot to show you the automation lightning bolt below the card. The Custom Card Button I made is named "TestButton1" at the top of that Automation list. I just selected "TestButton1" from that list to get it to add to the card of my choice.
Truthfully, I am not a fan of this at all. This fails intuitive functionality and is a really poor UX design. I am sorry this is your intro to Trello for it is a great app. I hope this helps get your custom card buttons and automations moving and will keep an eye on this forum message in case it was not the solution.
Thank you. Yes, back in the 90s this was called "mystery meat navigation" (I suppose today we would group it under accessibility) and I am also not a fan.
