When will the sidebar / an option to switch between boards return?

Since the huge interface update, I am frustrated by having to click multiple times to be able to switch between my boards. I switch boards very often during the day, it is a top task for me.

After the update, many users voiced their frustration about this and it was said that this feature would return. I have been longingly waiting for the sidebar to return, or another interface element that lets me switch to the desired board with only one click, but until now I see no sign of improvement. 

When can we expect an update on this?

Hi Lenny, if you click on the 'switch boards' button on the bottom floating panel, it'll give you the option to pin the sidebar to your current board view.
