What is the card limit?

Hello, I'm using trello for automatic reports for my application. I was searching about cards limit before implementing this system, but I didn't found any limitations. Now I've got this statement:
Which means: "You will soon reach limit of cards visible on board. Archive cards that you don't need."

But the case is that I need all of them. So what is true limit of cards in trello?

Generally boards start to become unusable when there are about 1-2,000 open cards.
