Thank you for the details about your use case! I'm afraid that this feature is not currently available. While this exact functionality isn’t currently available in Trello, you aren’t alone in wanting it, as we have had other users express interest in this feature as well. With that in mind, I’ve added you as a “+1” to our existing suggestion, which you can access here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/TRELLO-1298 .
I have also added this post as an internal comment to this report, so our engineering team can reference it and use it to help align priorities. I would also recommend visiting that suggestion, logging in with your Atlassian account, and clicking Start watching this issue in the right panel. This will help our product and engineering team understand more about which functionalities our users are interested in. Additionally, when our product team updates the ticket, you'll be notified via email.
