User has been removed from board but still has access

A used has been removed from the board but can still see all the current cards. Board setting is Private. User is able to see options to copy/close board and share to other members but the option to leave board is not showing because the user is not technically a member.

Hi!

One possible explanation — is the user a Workspace admin? In Trello, workspace admins can always see and edit all boards in the workspace, including private ones. This is by design and cannot be changed.

You can check this in your board visibility settings — if it says "Board members and Workspace admins can see and edit this board", that would confirm it.

If that's the case, the only options are to remove their workspace admin role, or remove them from the workspace entirely.

Hi Oleksandr, thank you so much for helping with my question. You were correct, I have changed the permissions of the user from Admin to Normal and now the board is not visible to that user. Cheers!
