Urgent request: Recovery of permanently deleted Trello board (nonprofit project)

Hello Trello Support Team,

I am writing with a heartfelt and urgent request regarding a Trello board that was accidentally permanently deleted 17.12.2025 from our workspace. The board was titled “Rodiny Berlička / Families Berlička” and was used by our nonprofit organization Berlička to coordinate care, support, and engagement with vulnerable families and children in palliative care.

This board contained essential information about the families we work with – contact details, support plans, history of interactions, and coordination notes among our team members. Unfortunately, it was deleted by mistake by one of our administrators, and we do not have any exported backup or copy of the data.

The loss of this board represents more than just lost project organization — it represents relationships and care continuity for families facing extremely difficult life situations. Rebuilding this information from scratch would be extremely time-consuming and emotionally taxing for our small team and the families themselves.

We understand that Trello states that permanent deletion cannot normally be undone, but we are asking with deep sincerity if there is any possibility that you might be able to assist us with one of the following:

• Recovering the deleted Trello board at a system level

• Retrieving archived data or logs that could help us reconstruct the board

• Any special assistance available for nonprofit organizations in circumstances like this

Our organization depends on Trello to keep track of sensitive and critical support workflows, and this board was central to our ongoing work.

If there is any additional information you need from us (workspace name, board ID, administrator account, timestamps), we will provide it immediately.

I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your Trello board and I truly understand how important this information is for your organization and the families you support.

Unfortunately, we do not have the ability or tools to restore permanently deleted boards. I wish I had better news, but once a board is deleted, we can’t recover it.

However, sometimes boards are closed instead of deleted. If you have the link to the board, please share it with me and I’ll double-check for you, if it was only closed, I can help you reopen it.

If you’d like, I can also explain how to manage permissions and prevent accidental deletions in the future. Just let me know if you’d like more information about this.
