It would be really beneficial to be able to update Word or Excel documents in real time, rather than constantly having to download the original document, update the info so it's current, and then reupload it.
you could use the onedrive power-up and attach the document as link. or paste te hyperlink as attachment. then you have a live connection to the document and always the most actual version available.

It’s quite hard to handle real-time updates on documents in Trello without using some form of cloud storage. Trello itself doesn’t live‑edit Word/Excel files – it just stores or links to them.
If you want real‑time collaboration, the best approach is to store your files in a cloud tool that supports co‑editing and then link/attach them to the card (like OneDrive, SharePoint, or Dropbox)
