I work at a public university and am also a student there but I am not able to log on to my work trello account that utilizes a SSO. I've spoken with our IT department and even after their attempts, every time I try to log on, the same error message pops up. "Something went wrong. Can not finish authentication. Please type a signin command to the bot to initiate the flow again". This message pops up when I access trello via Teams and via web browser - I have also tried different web browsers, incognito mode, etc.

Trello login issues are usually not the account itself but the browser / auth flow.
I’d try a few quick checks first:
- open Trello in incognito/private mode or another browser
- clear cookies/cache (especially for id.atlassian.com and trello.com)
- make sure cookies are allowed (login won’t work without them)
- try a password reset via
https://id.atlassian.com/login/resetpassword
Also worth checking: Trello uses Atlassian accounts, so make sure you’re using the correct login method (email/password vs Google/Microsoft).
If it still doesn’t work after that, then it’s likely account-specific and Atlassian support will need to take a look...
I don't wanna be Judgemental, but can also be, your IT Department have problem on their side and just don't know how to solve it.
