I find myself created as both Workspace Member and as a Guest. When I logon to Trello I appear as a guest. However, any task allocated to me is allocated to the Workspace Member version of me. I seem to have no option to logon in my capacity as Workspace Member. How do I logon as a Workspace member? (there is no other workspace member available to upgrade my access)
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
There's no way to do this - not getting back in, but setting Trello in the way you describe. Trello uses Atlassian accounts for access, and these have unique emails.
Your account with "workspace member" is not the same account as your "Guest" one - it has a different email address on it. Your guest account would have to have been created with a different email address.
You will need to log in with the email address used for the workspace member.
If somehow, you have managed to duplicate it an account with the same email, then you're a bit stuck - your guest account is "shielding" your workspace account and stopping you using it, it's basically being picked up as the first one you can log into.
You can test (and likely fix) this by logging into id.atlassian.com and changing the email address on the account to another one you have access to. Atlassian accounts don't understand aliasing in email systems like gmail, so you might find it easiest to use an alias if you can (emails sent to bob+acme@gmail.com go into the same email inbox as bob@gmail.com, but Atlassian accounts see them as two different emails)
Once you've changed the email on your guest account, you should be able to use your workspace account.
