I am using list automations to send direct messages in Slack to specific Slack users when a card is created or moved to a list they are responsible for. I have set this up successfully for two team members and myself, but despite following the same process and having the correct Slack member ID, the third team member is not receiving the messages.
Any ideas on what could be going on? As far as I know, there are no differences in permissions, etc. between the team members who are successfully receiving messages and the one who is not.
Hi Holly! 👋
Hope you’re doing well, and a very warm welcome to the community! 😊
I’ve taken a look at your automation setup. Currently, it appears there are two rules configured to send Slack messages to two specific individuals. Both have only 2 actions for sending the message. And I wasn't able to locate a third action for the additional user you mentioned.
To ensure all three users receive the notification, could you please try the following steps?
Review your automation rules: Double-check that you have added a separate Slack action for each of the three users individually after your trigger.
Verify Slack Membership: Please make sure the third user is successfully connected to your Slack workspace and is an active member of the relevant channel.
Check the Documentation: For a detailed walkthrough on setting this up, feel free to review this guide: Trigger actions in Jira, Slack and Bitbucket with automation | Trello | Atlassian Support.
If you’ve already set this up and it’s still not behaving as expected, please let me know! I’m happy to dig deeper into this with you. 🚀
Best regards,
Rishabh
