Hello Atlassian Support team,
I’m experiencing an issue with Trello where I’m unable to edit card fields (description, title, checklists, etc.), even though I have full admin permissions.
Here are the details:
I am a board admin and a workspace member
Workspace editing is enabled (“Any workspace member can edit and join this board”)
The board is not read-only and there are no automation rules locking cards
The issue occurs when opening cards from the board (not only via notifications)
Input fields appear visually normal, but are not editable (read-only behavior)
Additional context:
This happens consistently in Safari on macOS
This looks like a UI state / read-only bug rather than a permissions issue
Could you please confirm whether this is a known issue with Safari and advise on a permanent fix or recommended configuration?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Hi @Irena Brajovic ,
Thanks for sharing the detailed description and context! 🙏
This is most likely related to a browser rather than a permission or config. issue.
Some recommended steps here would be:
I've checked the public tracker, but couldn't find anything related.
Here's also an article that might help: Troubleshooting browser issues with Trello 👀
If the issue persists, you could follow the instructions here to open a new bug based on your experience.
By the way, this Community Forum is mainly answered (and monitored) by other community members/Atlassian customers, rather than the official support team. Official support staff can be reached here.
Cheers,
Tobi
