Trello card image GIF?

When I attach a GIF to a card to use at the cover image it's not offering to make it the cover image.  Static images work fine.  I resized it to be 300x75 and only about 300kb.

It seems to work in the IOS app but it won't let me set the gif as the card cover image on the web or windows apps.  When I set it as the cover image in the IOS app and then open it in the web or windows app it turns off the gif as the cover image.  Are there limitations to the gif size other than pixels & KB?  This particular gif is the required 300x75 and only about 300kb but it has 600 frames.

@Bill Brooks hmm I can use an animated gif as the image cover. Are you able to test with a couple of different gifs and maybe logout/back in etc. and confirm you can reproduce the problem reliably, then if you can do a screencast with useloom.com and email it to support@trello.com?
